Alex Harvey was born on September 7, 1988 in St-Férréol-les-Neiges, Québec

Son of Olympian Pierre Harvey, Alex wore his first skis when he was three years old. He quickly developed an aptitude for the sport. In 2007, he succeeded in winning the Bronze at the Junior World Championships. The last medal for a Canadian athlete in that competition was 18 years ago. When he arrived in the senior ranks in 2009, Alex distinguished himself by climbing up on the podium for several World Cup events.
