Take control of bacteria on your hands

Washing your hands properly and drying them with hand paper towels can reduce the presence of bacteria by up to 77%!

"Subjects were tested to see if various types of bacteria were present before and after washing their hands then drying them with hand paper towels, a warm air dryer and a high-performance air jet dryer. Participants who used hand paper towels reduced their number of bacteria by 48 to 77%. As for warm air dryers, they increased bacterial presence (by up to 254% for conventional warm air dryers and by up to 42% for high-performance air jet dryers)."

Taken from A comparative study of different hand drying methods, University of Westminster, February 2009.

Prevent the spread of bacteria

Contrary to hand dryers, using hand paper towels does not disperse micro-organisms and significantly reduces the potential for contamination of public restrooms and their users.

"Participants’ hands were artificially contaminated with yeast suspension. Subjects then dried their hands with hand paper towels, a high-performance air jet dryer or a conventional warm air dryer. High-performance air jet dryers can spread micro-organisms up to 6.5 feet (2 metres) from the device. As for conventional warm air dryers, their contamination potential is much higher than that of hand paper towels when hands are placed directly under the device."
