Cascades is awarded a prize during the 2010 CRFA show for its most recent innovation: The Antibacterial Hand Towel

Candiac, July 21st, 2010 - Cascades Tissue Group, the fourth largest manufaturer of tissue paper in North America, received an innovation prize at the CRFA (Canadian Restaurant and Foodservice Association) Show in Toronto last March (7th, 8th, 9th). The Sysco-sponsored Innovative Product Pavillion allowed the decision makers in the foodservice industry to become familiar with the latest products in the food processing sector as well as with packaging products and to vote for the most innovative ones. Cascades was one amongst sixteen other businesses to showcase its new release. In all, more than 1,200 ballots were submitted in three categories. Cascades Tissue Group was the runner up for the most innovative product with its new Intelligent Paper™, which contributes to optimizing hand hygiene by combining effective hand drying with persistant antibacterial protection.

Cascades Lupel innovates with recycled papers for the floor-covering industry

Kingsey Falls, July 8, 2010 – Cascades Lupel now manufactures felt paper with recycled fibre for use as backing by the sheet vinyl flooring industry. This change was carried out in anticipation of reducing the mill’s environmental footprint and using materials that are recovered by Cascades.

The standard establishes a consensus and provides a reference guide that sets out safeguards for the new generation of gatherings, of all scales, all over Québec.
