In 2009, the Cascades team of carporate buyers launched the Sustainable Supplier Award, a distinction that aims to recognize the efforts of suppliers who made a commitment towards sustainable development, whether it was for the development of new technology, for an improvement of processes or products which enabled one of Cascades' units to increase its environmental performance (saving water, energy…), its social performance (time saving by employees) or its economic performance.
