Projects by Cascades CS+, energy division resulted in savings of 198,740 gigajoules in 2018, or the equivalent of the energy used annually by 1,950 Canadian households.1

Water

Cascades consumes 6 times less water per metric tonne of saleable products than the Canadian paper industry average, which consumes 65,5 m3/metric tonne (FPAC, 2018).

Fibre Supply

Cascades is the top recycler of waste paper and cardboard in Canada. Using 3.2 million short tonnes of recycled fibres in 2018 helped save more than 45 million trees.2
