Official inauguration of state-of-the-art equipment in Birmingham

KINGSEY FALLS, QC, April 24, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Cascades Sonoco, a joint venture of Cascades Inc. (TSE: CAS) and Sonoco Products Company (NYSE: SON), invites media representatives to the official inauguration of its new, state-of-the-art equipment at the Cascades Sonoco – Birmingham plant in Alabama. A press conference will be held with Cascades President and Chief Executive Officer, Mario Plourde, and Sonoco Chief Executive Officer, Robert C. Tiede. The company will unveil its new water-based coating line—the result of a US$16 million investment—supporting the development of a range of recyclable, repulpable and compostable takeout containers.

Dignitaries, the media, partners, customers, suppliers and employees will be welcome Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the plant located at 170 Cleage Drive, Birmingham, AL.
