Vice-President, Excellence
Originally from Drummondville, in the Centre-du-Québec region, François is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in accounting from McGill University, as well as a graduate diploma in specialized accounting studies from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
He joined Cascades in 2009, beginning his career as a financial analyst after having worked for a major accounting firm in Montréal. Driven by challenge and open to new opportunities, he has since climbed the ranks by holding several strategic roles. He first served as Director of Accounting and Consolidation, then as Corporate Controller, before becoming Vice-President of Finance—successively for corporate activities, the Tissue sector, and the Packaging sector. In January 2026, he continued his progression within Cascades by taking on a new challenge as Vice President, Excellence.
Recognized for his expertise, leadership and ability to mobilize high performing teams, François has successfully led several strategic and structuring projects that have contributed to transforming the organization.
On a personal level, he is actively involved in his children’s sports activities, convinced that sport is a true school of life that fosters individual development and team spirit. In his free time, he enjoys hockey, golf, skiing, cycling and reading.
