Vice-President, Excellence
Originally from Drummondville, in the Centre du Québec region, François is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in accounting from McGill University, as well as a graduate diploma in specialized accounting studies from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
François joined Cascades in 2009, beginning his career as a financial analyst after having worked for a major accounting firm in Montréal. He then climbed the ranks by holding several strategic roles, including Director of Accounting and Consolidation, Corporate Controller, and Vice President of Finance for corporate activities and, subsequently, for the Tissue and Packaging sectors.
Recognized for his expertise, leadership and ability to mobilize high performing teams, François has successfully led several strategic and structuring projects that have contributed to transforming the organization.
On a personal level, he is actively involved in his children’s sports activities, convinced that sport is a true school of life that fosters individual development and team spirit. In his free time, he enjoys hockey, golf, skiing, cycling and reading.
