Vice-President, Excellence
Originally from Drummondville, in the Centre-du-Québec region, François is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in accounting from McGill University, as well as a graduate diploma in specialized accounting studies from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
François joined Cascades in 2009, beginning his career as a financial analyst after having worked for a major accounting firm in Montréal. He then climbed the ranks by holding several strategic roles, including Director of Accounting and Consolidation, Corporate Controller, and Vice-President of Finance for corporate activities and, subsequently, for the Tissue and Packaging sectors. In January 2026, he took on a new challenge as Vice-President, Excellence.
Recognized for his expertise, leadership and ability to mobilize high performing teams, François has successfully led several strategic and structuring projects that have contributed to transforming the organization.
On a personal level, he is actively involved in his children’s sports activities, convinced that sport is a true school of life that fosters individual development and team spirit. In his free time, he enjoys hockey, golf, skiing, cycling and reading.
