Executive Vice-President, Tissue
Jérôme Porlier joined Cascades in 2012 as a Succession Plant Manager. He brought with him significant experience in the manufacturing sector, having begun his career at the Kruger Wayagamack plant in Trois-Rivières, then at Technocell in Drummondville. A graduate of Université de Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Jérôme also holds an MBA from HEC Montréal, with a specialization in administration and management. He also completed Six Sigma’s Black Belt Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement training.
Upon joining Cascades, Jérôme took on responsibilities at the Cascades Tissue Group plant in Candiac. Less than two years later, he was promoted to Plant Manager of Papersource, another Cascades Tissue Group unit located in Granby. In 2016, he continued his growth by becoming General Manager of Cascades Tissue Group.
His career path then led him to join Cascades Specialty Products Group in 2019, where he successively held the roles of Vice-President of Operations for the Packaging sector and, in 2023, President and Chief Operating Officer for the entire Group. In 2024, Jérôme was appointed Executive Vice-President for the Tissue business sector, as well as responsible for OHS and operational excellence for the whole of Cascades.
An engaging, organized manager appreciated for his positive leadership, Jérôme is driven by the desire to grow the company and strengthen its position as a leader in sustainable hygiene solutions.
Originally from Sept-Îles, Jérôme has been involved with the Fondation Charles-Bruneau since 2021 as a cyclist in the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau. He also enjoys golf, skiing and tennis, and is actively involved in the sporting activities of his two boys, Émile and Rafael. His family and sport are important sources of balance for him.
